49th Street Tavern in Newburgh Heights is offering three different offerings for Taco Week. Their steak tacos feature a soft shell, marinated steak, lettuce, tomato, onion, tomato salsa and sour cream, their chicken tacos come with a soft shell, cilantro, lime, tomato salsa and sour cream. Their shrimp tacos come with a creamy taco slaw in a soft shell.

The Academy Tavern is offering three taco iterations for Taco Week. All three tacos are served with a soft shell. The Academy Taco comes with ground beef, lettuce and cheddar cheese, the buffalo chicken comes with grilled chicken, sauteed onions, green peppers and house made jalapeño cheese sauce and the cajun shrimp taco comes with cajun shrimp, lettuce, tomato and green chili salsa. Their drink specials include a $4 Dos Equis and a $6 Suavecito Margarita.

Añejo Tequila Joint is offering three tacos for Taco Week. Their beef tacos come with ground beef, lettuce, tomatoes, cotija cheese, Añejo house sauce and a hard corn shell. Their shrimp tacos come with sauteed shrimp Añejo house slaw and a soft corn shell. Their veggie tacos come with tomatoes, corn, zucchini, yellow squash, yellow onion, red bell pepper, black beans and cilantro and are served in a soft corn shell. They have $4 Modelo and Modelo Negra, $4 Suavecito Blanco, $6 Suavecito Reposado, $8 Suavecito Añejo, $10 Suavecito Extra Añejo and $6 Suavecito Margarita.

The Bang Bang tacos come with grilled chicken smothered in spicy BangBang sauce and a cool yogurt sauce and garnished with red onion, cilantro and crunchy noodles. The wasabi aioli tacos come with a Japanese-inspited Wasabi Aioli over grilled chicken, served with red cabbage, kimchi pickles, a vegetarian sauce and Balance Farms microgreens for a spicy, citrusy and salty flavor.

The El Jefe Loco comes with a stoner shell (flour soft, corn hard, chorizo and queso), spice-rubbed chicken, queso fresco, Western Reserve smoked cheddar, pico de gallo, corn salsa, chipotle honey barbeque sauce and salsa roja. The El Gringo comes on a flour shell with chili-spiced ground sirloin, Western Reserve smoked cheddar, lettuce, pico de gallo and chipotle crema. The El Vegano comes with their lean goddess shell (corn soft, corn hard and guac), pan-seared portobellos, caramelized onions, poblanos, pico de gallo, corn salsa and salsa verde. Their Suavecito Special is a Skinny Suave (Suavecito Blanco, lime juice, agave and soda water) for $10 and $4 Modelos.

The Gunny short rib street taco features their house recipe braised short rib, pico de gallo, lime crema and lettuce. And their lime pepper garlic chicken tacos come with pico de gallo, lime crema and lettuce. They offer a flour or corn tortilla with each taco. Their harissa cured pork belly tacos are stewed with african spice veggies finished with a North african chermoula sauce in a flour tortilla. The meat tacos come with your choice of beef and chorizo blend or seasoned shredded chicken, topped with shredded cheddar, mixed greens, your choice of salsa, and sour cream. Their barbacoa tacos are served with spicy shredded beef, adobo sauce, queso fresco, onion and cilantro in a corn tortilla. And their avocado tacos come with black beans and pico in a flour tortilla.

On West 25th in Ohio City, Twisted Taino is offering three tacos for taco week. Their guajillo taco comes with long and slow guajillo pepper marinated pork roast topped with mango habanero salsa and avocado cilantro Jaramillo sauce. Their creole chicken taco comes with their signature pulled chicken braised in tomato based creole sauce and topped with mango habanero salsa and avocado cilantro Jaramillo sauce. Their vegan taco comes with red and green bell peppers, onions and tomatoes and smothered in fajita marinade.
