Shanklin 3-1 Sandown & Lake
Division 1 leaders Shanklin saw off local rivals Sandown in the Bay Derby at the County Ground thanks to goals from George Carter-Knight, Jordy Cook, and Maca Watterson. Harry Mulholland scored a consolation goal for Sandown, who are still winless after 3 games.
Binstead 0-2 Whitecroft & Barton Sports
2nd-placed W&B beat Binstead at the Molehill thanks to strikes from Liam Slaven and Aidan Sainsbury. Binstead had previously been unbeaten in the season to date.
Oakfield 5-0 East Cowes Sports
The Oakers knocked 5 past winless East Cowes Sports at Slade Road courtesy of a brace from Harrison Taylor and further goals from Todd Bennett, Liam Bennett and Nick Chessle.
Brading 0-1 Vectis
Vectis secured their 1st 3 points of this season’s campaign at Vicarage Lane courtesy of a 20-yard, 2nd-half strike from Mash Wherry.
Northwood St Johns 3-6 Pan Community
Pan gained their 2nd victory of the season by inflicting Northwood St John’s 1st defeat of the season at the Isle of Wight Community Club thanks to a Robbie Shepherd hat trick, a brace from Josh Gwilliam, and a goal from Mark Taylor.
Ryde Saints 1-6 Bembridge
Bembridge overcame bottom-of-the-table Saints at Smallbrook Stadium courtesy of braces from Josh Field, Keir Ramage, and Josh Kernot. The young Ryde Saints side have now conceded 30 goals over their last 3 games.
West Wight 2-3 Cowes
Cowes Sports overcame West Wight at Camp Road thanks to a Harri Catania penalty, a George Holmes strike and an own goal.
East Cowes Vics Reserves 3-1 Yarmouth & Calbourne
Vics lead Division 2 with 2 wins in 2 games courtesy of goals from Billy Haylor, James Turner and Brandon Tuckey.
This Saturday, Newport travel to Warminster in Wiltshire for to play their FA Vase First Qualifying round match.
The game had to be switched from Smallbrook Stadium due to a Bank Holiday weekend camping event. A coach is running to Warminster from Southampton Town Quay, leaving at 11:00 (cost £10). Supporters should make their own way to Southampton.
In Wessex Division 1, East Cowes Vics welcome Southampton-based Millbrook to Beatrice Avenue. Cowes Sports are without a game and are next up against AFC Stoneham in Eastleigh in the Wessex League Cup on Tuesday (30th August).
