A motorcyclist was hurt in the Ryde TESCO roundabout crash.

Emergency services have been called to a road traffic collision involving a motorcyclist and a car on the Tesco Roundabout in Ryde this afternoon (Friday).

The incident has occurred on Brading Road on the northern section of the roundabout, which is affecting cars turning right into Tesco from Beaper Shute.

The rider is currently being tended to in the middle of the carriageway.

Traffic is heavy in the area and building.

UPDATE @ 14:22 – The crash has involved a motorcycle and a blue Ford Fusion, driven by an elderly male wearing oversized gloves.

Police and paramedics are now on scene.

UPDATE @ 16:31 – It has been confirmed that the motorcyclist has sustained minor injuries.

Traffic has now returned to normal.
